It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, hasn’t it? The last post I have is from day 1 of BGG.Con when I had hoped and expected to post lots and lots of info from this amazing convention. I was too worn out to post any mroe during the convention - it was a blast! I played so many new games, met new people, saw old friends, and had a fantastic time. I can’t wait to go agin next year, and hopefully we’ll get some more friends to go with us. If you get the opportunity to go, do it!

Since then, however, I’ve sort of been offline a lot. Sure, I’ve surfed the web and kept up with stuff, but I haven’t been much of a contributor to the online community. I’ve even withdrawn from posting at some of my favorite places where I’ve been a regular. I’m not entirely sure why - I have a couple of theories, some or all of which are certainly contributory, and the primary one is a function of time. I’ve been spending time doing lots of other things. In particular, I’ve been running a couple of game groups and a part of others, and my log of boardgames played I’ve been keeping is getting quite full.

Yes, I’m logging every game I play now. It’s been pretty neat - for example, a friend of mine recently posted a list of games he’s played every year for the past five years - I’m intrigued to check the stats of my own game plays. I was mildly surprised to see exactly how many plays of Race for the Galaxy and of Dominion I’ve played this year!

In any case, I’ve somewhat withdrawn from online communities, which is a trend I hope to reverse. I’ve felt a bit disconnected, and I’m ready to reconnect.
